Meet Rashmi Saklani, RMT
A thoughtful, individualized approach to massage therapy
I'm a Registered Massage Therapist in Calgary NW and have been practicing since September 2018. I completed the 2,355-hour Massage Therapy Diploma program at ABM College in Calgary.
Why I Became a Massage Therapist
After a major life change, I was looking for a new direction and wanted to build a career in healthcare where I could work directly with people. Massage therapy gave me that opportunity.
I was born and raised in India and have called Calgary home for many years. What began as a new career path has grown into something I genuinely enjoy. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds, activity levels, and stages of life.
About Me
My Philosophy: Keep Your Body Moving
I believe in a holistic approach to health and in the connection between the mind and body. Taking care of ourselves is not just about addressing a problem when it appears—it's also about maintaining the things that help us keep moving through everyday life.
Your body is the vehicle that carries you through life. Take care of it.
Mobility, strength, balance, and endurance all play an important role in helping us stay active and independent as we get older. Movement is a big part of that. Whether it's walking, working out, playing a sport, gardening, travelling, or simply keeping up with everyday life, our bodies are meant to move. I also believe that nourishing your body is part of taking care of it. What we eat provides the building blocks our bodies need to function and keep us going.
I want to help people maintain the ability to move, participate in the activities they enjoy, and keep doing the things that matter to them.
My Approach to Massage Therapy
I don't believe massage therapy should be the same for everyone. Every person has a different body, lifestyle, history, and reason for seeking treatment. I also believe that understanding your body can be an important part of treatment. When you understand how your body moves and responds, you can become more aware of what it may be telling you and how you can take better care of it.
My goal is to help you better understand your body and feel more connected to how it moves and responds.
